Tulsa Tech can offer assistance with a variety of financial aid options for those who qualify. Although Tulsa Tech does not offer any type of student loans, our extensive network of advisors will help you through the process.

Image of fafsa.ed.gov websiteA new FAFSA must be completed for each school year. For assistance with completing your FAFSA, contact the TRIO program at 918-595-8600. TRIO is available to assist you in the Tulsa Tech Financial Assistance Office on Monday afternoons and all day Thursday.

If you are applying for financial assistance through scholarships, grants, sponsorships or waivers, you should begin the application process well in advance of your program start date. These types of financial aid can take up to six weeks or longer to process.

  • Accelerating Independence Scholarship

    Tulsa Tech offers you the opportunity to attend tuition free with the Accelerating Independence Scholarship. This GAP scholarship is available to students through the age of 23 who have graduated from any of our in-district public, private, parochial, charter, or home-schools. Applicants must have a GED certificate or a high school transcript and complete the FAFSA.

    Career and Technology Student Organization Scholarship (CTSO)

    Career & Technical Student OrganizationsCTSO Scholarships of up to $2,500 is available to current student members of Career and Technology Student Organizations (CTSO) who place first, second, or third in state CTSO competitive activities or who are elected as CTSO officers at the organizations’ district, state, or national levels. This scholarship may be used within two academic years from when the contest was won or the student was elected an officer. Apply online.

    Financial Needs Scholarship

    Financial Needs Scholarships of up to $500 per year is available to students with demonstrated financial need not met by other sources of financial assistance. Apply online.

    Junior Achievement Scholarship

    One Junior Achievement Scholarship, of up to 600 clock hours, is available to graduating seniors who have completed the Junior Achievement School Program.

    Pathways Scholarship

    The Pathways Scholarship is available to individuals in one of four of the following groups:

    • » Who have primarily been homemakers and have become separated, divorced, widowed, or whose spouse has become disabled;
    • » Single, pregnant women and single parents who are not married but who have custody of a child or children;
    • » Students who desire to work in occupations that are non-traditional for their gender; or
    • » Diverse populations. This scholarship covers a portion of the tuition cost and 100% of required books.

    Military Tuition Waiver

    Oklahoma veterans are eligible to attend one full time program tuition free. Applicants must have served active duty in the U.S. Military and have been honorably discharged within the last 15 years.

    Oklahoma Army & Air National Guard Tuition Waivers

    Members of the Oklahoma Army and Air National Guard are eligible to attend tuition free. Applicants must be residents of Oklahoma and must submit documentation of certification by the Adjutant General as a member of the Oklahoma Army or Air National Guard in good standing.

    Partner School Scholarship

    Partner School Scholarships of up to $2,500 is available to students who have graduated from Tulsa Tech’s public partner school districts.

    Tulsa Tech Education Foundation Scholarship

    The Tulsa Tech Education Foundation offers scholarships to assist with tuition, books, uniform, test fee, and other costs. Apply now.

  • When you complete the FAFSA, you are applying for the following types of grants: Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), and if you area resident of Oklahoma, you may be eligible for the Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG). SEOG and OTAG funding is limited, therefore, to be considered, complete your FAFSA as early as possible.

    Pell Grant

    Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid. Pell Grants are awarded to students who have not earned a bachelor’s or a professional degree.

    SEOG

    The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) is additional grant assistance available to students with demonstrated financial need and who are Pell eligible.

    OTAG

    The Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG) is a need-based grant available to Pell eligible Oklahoma residents enrolled either full-time or part-time.

  • American Welding Society

    American Welding Society

    This scholarship is available to AWS districts to provide funds to students seeking welder training through a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training programs. The deadline to apply is November 30. More information.

    Educational & Training Vouchers for Current & Former Foster Care Youth

    Are you currently in or have been in foster care and need help paying for college or career school? If so, you might be interested to know that the John H. Chafee Foster Care Independence Program helps current and former foster care youth through the Educational and Training Vouchers (ETV) Program.  More information.

    Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship

    The Gene Haas Foundation is a private foundation committed to manufacturing education and providing support for it’s local community. The Gene Haas Scholarship is a scholarship that will cover a portion of tuition for students enrolled in any manufacturing program. The eligibility is based on the student’s attendance and academic progress. The award amount will be based on the student’s tuition balance. More information.

    Horatio Alger Association

    The Career & Technical Scholarship Program is funded through the Horatio Alger Endowment Fund and the generosity of Association Chairman Emeritus and Endowment Fund President Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.     Nursing Student Assistance Program

    Sponsored by the State of Oklahoma through PMTC the program provides assistance to Oklahoma nursing students pursuing LPN, ADN, BSN, or MSN degrees and who are interested in practicing nursing in Oklahoma communities, with emphasis placed on rural communities. Apply early, the deadline is June 30.  More information.

    Oklahoma Promise

    Oklahoma students in grades 8-10 can sign up to participate in the program, previously known as OHLAP and administered by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Once you graduate from high school and complete the curricular and conduct requirements for the program, you may be eligible for funding from Oklahoma’s Promise to cover a portion of the tuition cost at Tulsa Tech. Students must be enrolled in a Title IV (Pell Grant) eligible program and complete the FAFSA.

    WHVACR Scholarship

    Congratulations on picking an awesome profession! The opportunities for women in HVACR professions continues to grow. With over one third of the population in the US retiring in five years, current industry estimates project a need for 86,000 employees over the next five years. One of WHVACR goals is to help the industry fill this demand now and going forward with deserving and qualified candidates. The deadline for this scholarship is June 1, 2018. More information.
