Transitioning from Military to Classroom to Career …
Moving from Mission-Centered to Education-Focused
The greatest advantage of the military experience is no secret. Soldiers concentrate on goals. Research shows military personnel make excellent employees.
But specific skills are needed by business and industry to insure career success. The high level of concentration learned in the military can be transformed into an educational focus. Tulsa Tech provides the opportunity to earn credentials to promote an upwardly mobile career.

VA beneficiaries must submit a completed Prior Credit Guidelines & Application to Student Services before the Veteran Benefits will be certified. All students must sign and complete this form, even if they have never attended a post-secondary institution or served in the military.
Any student who has served in the military must bring a copy of his or her military transcript and transcripts from all prior post-secondary institutions to the Student Services. Military transcripts for Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy: Active Duty, Reserve, and Veterans may be obtained at Joint Services Transcript by clicking on register and print both transcript and summary. Air Force service member transcripts may be requested through Community College of the Air Force.
Students may apply online at the Veterans Affairs website, under “Education,” and click "Apply for education benefits." Students may call the Department of Veterans Affairs at 1.888.442.4551 to receive more information on which chapter of benefits they are eligible to receive and the amount of money they can expect.
When the Department of Veterans Affairs approves the application, they will send the student a Certificate of Eligibility. The student must bring a copy of this letter to the Financial Assistance Office.
Students using Veterans Education benefits under Chapter 33 or 31 must turn in a copy of their Certification of Eligibility to the Financial Assistance office before the first day of their program in order to start the program without payment or assessment of late fees.
