A visionary leader, Sharon Schaub created a new and inspiring vision for student success at Tulsa Tech.
Throughout her 25-year journey with the institution, she demonstrated exceptional talent as an educator and community builder, leaving behind an enduring legacy.
Starting as an Adult Education Coordinator in 1988, Schaub's determination and passion led her to become the Campus Director at both the Peoria Campus in 1992 and the Lemley Campus in 2007. At the Peoria Campus, she showcased her remarkable ability to build a strong community, transforming its image among parents and students, turning it into a vital part of connecting the north Tulsa area.
One of her many contributions was the establishment of the Youth Builders program, designed to assist students in obtaining their GED and construction certifications. Over time, this program was integrated into the highly successful Career Academy, further enhancing opportunities for students.
Schaub's influence extended beyond Tulsa Tech, as she gained national recognition for her efforts in reshaping the SkillsUSA competitions. Her decision to separate high school and adult students in the competitions and focus on developing critical professional skills in leadership was transformative for the organization.
Her unwavering dedication to student success and her innovative programs and initiatives have left an indelible mark on the educational landscape, benefiting countless students and contributing significantly to the growth and positive impact of Tulsa Tech.
